New Job Opportunity - Power Electronics Engineer
New and exciting job opportunity with a client based out of Baltimore, MD. Looking to hire an entry level Power Electronics Engineer with at least 1 year of related work experience (Professional or internship). Experience working on design and testing of SiC (Silicon Carbide) based power electronics is highly preferred Please review qualifications before applying.
Logistics of the Role:Full Time - Direct Hire This is a hybrid position, but will have to be onsite 5 days a week for first 6 months. After that, 1-2 days from home per week is a possibility. Compensation: Depending on Experience (Client salary range from 80k-125k)
Day to Day Activities:Design, testing, and troubleshooting of SiC based power electronics Support the specification, procurement, build, installation and launch of Powertrain Production equipment related to the manufacturing of powertrain power electronics components.Develop and deliver standardized processes and equipment in line with global powertrain strategies.Develop and implement manufacturing process associated with power electronics manufacturing including vacuum reflow soldering, selective wave soldering and laser welding.Support the Prototype Engineering/Pilot Manufacturing to determine feasible manufacturing solutions and methodology during the early stages of new programs.
Qualifications: Experience in Power electronics - Knowledge of manufacturing process related to power electronics manufacturing and testing Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, computer science, or relevant field SiC power based electronics experience is highly preferred
