Trips Team

The Trips team is responsible for building the most delightful traveling products for Guests and Hosts. As soon as a guest makes a booking, our product takes over to ensure guests have a 5 star experience staying with Airbnb. This includes finding the reservation details on the trips tab, managing co-travelers, getting reminders for upcoming trips, finding interesting experiences and generally more trip planning things. The Trips team’s work directly and materially impacts every Airbnb booker’s journey!

Users & Quality Team

Core to Airbnb's success over the coming years is fostering belonging between our users. Creating robust user profiles, account structures, gathering structured data, ensuring a robust reputation system, while understanding how users connect is central to the future of Airbnb. The Users and Quality team is focused on some of the most mission critical initiatives Airbnb is taking on in the coming years, laying some of the foundations for the company's success and driving massive impact for the business.

The Difference You Will Make:

Your day-to-day responsibilities includes:

• Collaborate with Product Managers, Experience Designers and Engineers to design and deliver high-quality products and platforms.
• Build efficient and reusable backend (or frontend) components and architect reliable, performant, and scalable systems.
• Follow data-driven approaches to conduct experiments and iterate features.
• Evaluate and prototype with new technologies and techniques that can be added to our tech stack
• Mentor and support other engineers in the team and related teams

Your Expertise:

• 6+ years industry experience
• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree, preferably in CS, or equivalent experience
• Experience in building and scaling high-quality and high-traffic products (or systems).
• Ability to evaluate technical approaches and design product solutions to solve real-world problems.
• Ability to drive alignment, manage projects and effectively collaborate with stakeholders.
• Mentorship to junior developers

 

Your Location:

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager.
