As a Security Officer Desk Patrol Part-Time in Charleston, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries.

As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and employees at a dynamic location. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring access, verifying credentials, and providing a welcoming presence while helping to deter security-related incidents. You will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment by managing entry points, responding to inquiries, and delivering exceptional customer service. Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeThur08:00 AM - 05:00 PMFri08:00 AM - 05:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk.
• Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and/or credentials as required.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences.
• Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.
• Assist with emergency response activities as appropriate for the location and post assignment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
