HII Unmanned Systems requires an On-site Technical Representative in Virginia Beach, VA to support U.S. Navy operations with our REMUS vehicles. Candidate will work closely with Navy personnel on-site at the Joint Expeditionary Base (JEB) Little Creek, VA. Candidate will report to the Repair Manager.  Position will be on-site at the Navy facility at JEB Little Creek.

Act as primary liaison between HII project managers/customer service and the MK18 customers. Diligently documenting case notes and work orders, while independently managing and organizing a personal work depot. Must be a highly motivated self-starter who takes initiative to communicate effectively and maintain continuous progress on repairs. 

Candidate will perform the following tasks:

• Local Troubleshooting Support: Estimated 80% of overall effort. Conduct Local Training Events: Estimated 5% of overall effort
• In Water Ops Advanced Tech Support: Estimated >5% of overall effort Technical Data QA: Estimated >5% of overall effort
•  Deployment Installation Support: Estimated 5% of overall effort
• Administration, status reporting, local coordination: Estimated 5% of overall effort

What you will be doing...

Installs, operates, maintains, repairs and modifies equipment. Performs a variety of maintenance and technical support on products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer and/or field locations. Analyzes and evaluates products and related performance. Troubleshoots and diagnoses malfunctions to eliminate problem in minimum time. Installs, upgrades and removes products ensuring coordinative engineering field change. Maintains effective customer communications, relations, and provides onsite training.

What we are looking for...

• Associates Degree or other 2 year technical degree in related discipline and 6 years related experience or High School Diploma or equivalent and 8 years related experience.  #LI-MH1 
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a goverment clearance.
• Knowledge and direct experience with REMUS vehicle hardware and software

Bonus points for...

• 4 year technical degree
• Familiarity with military operations (Navy) preferred
• US Navy experience

Physical Requirements

May require working in an industrial or shipboard environment. Normally not required to lift more than 40 pounds higher than three feet above feet/floor level. May encounter extremes of temperature, pollution, humidity, noise, and other environmental factors while collecting data, observing performance of task teams.
