Manage assigned territory of new and existing clients to include service, profitability and account retention. Develop and maintain a business relationship with all account personnel involved with the State National Companies program including, but not limited to, C & V levels. Prepare and maintain reports, correspondence and follow-up. Primary point of contact for assigned accounts with ultimate responsibility for overall client satisfaction and delivery of the State National Value Proposition.

Essential Functions:

  • Direct operational and underwriting resources and activities within your territory to optimize the P&L, relationships and Service Levels to insure SNC retains profitable business over time.
  • Develop and maintain positive client relationships to facilitate strong partnership relationships; resolve account issues and bring to successful conclusions and also effectively entertain clients (including but not limited to golf, dinners, sporting events, etc.) while maintaining assigned territory budgets
  • Continuously analyze client needs and use independent discretion to advise and structure insurance and service programs to meet both client and State National needs
  • Lead various and often tense negotiations, weighing the trade-offs between profitability and account retention, with C and V level  Credit Union and Bank counterparts
  • Understand and predict the buying cycle of clients to stay ahead of competitive and market pressures that may jeopardize our ability to retain profitable business
  • Make discretionary financial decisions within your authority to remedy pain points during the claims and service process  
  • Cross sell ancillary products and services to drive business results and improve retention
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert while supporting our Sales team in the client acquisition process.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client profiles and records through CRM database
  • Conduct professional presentations and meetings with executive level contacts, including the annual Impact Review with recommendations for program enhancements and/or corrective adjustments
  • Analyze profitability at both client and territory level in order to recommend, negotiate and implement program changes as needed.
  • Responsible for facilitating the implementation process of new accounts.
  • Conduct client training to ensure understanding of program and to facilitate effective client administration.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Ability to act as liaison between clients and other State National Companies departments.  Ability to make decisions in line with overall company goals and objectives
  • Monitor and enforce Company policy and procedures
  • Cross sell other Company products or services as appropriate

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, CRM and Power Point)
  • Prefer knowledge of Collateral Production Insurance, Property and Casualty Insurance and/or the banking industry.
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License with a good driving record and be deemed to be an insurable risk
  • Must have financial means to travel, paying for airfare, hotel, meals and other miscellaneous expenses for business travel purposes on an as needed basis  (employee will be reimbursed by the Company for company-related travel expenses)
  • Access to confidential information, both internal and external
  • Attendance and dependability:  The employee can be depended on to report to work at the scheduled time and is seldom absent from work.  Employee can be depended upon to complete work in a timely, accurate and thorough manner and is conscientious about assignments.
  • Candidate must exhibit professional maturity

Education/Experience:

  • College degree required
  • Five (5) years’ experience in relation
