Your Role:
The Principal HRIS Analyst leads and manages the organization's Human Resources Information System (HRIS) operations and initiatives. This role optimizes HR systems, analyzes data, implements best practices, and supports HR processes with advanced technical expertise. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, capable of driving improvements in HR technology, processes, and reporting to enhance operational efficiency and support business goals.

Location: Remote U.S.A.
Compensation Range: $130k - $140k annualized. The exact salary is determined by experience and education related to the role, organizational compensation structure, and internal equity.

Your Responsibilities:
- HRIS Strategy and Optimization: Lead the optimization and ongoing management of the HRIS, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and HR strategies. Collaborate with HR leadership to identify opportunities for system enhancements and process improvements.
- System Administration: Oversee HRIS system configuration, updates, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Serve as the subject matter expert for HRIS-related issues and provide technical guidance to HR and IT teams.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Design, create, and maintain complex reports, dashboards, and data analytics tools to track key HR metrics (e.g., turnover, diversity, compliance). Provide actionable insights based on data analysis to inform HR decision-making.
- Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in HRIS processes, including employee data management, compensation, performance management, and talent acquisition workflows.
- Project Management: Lead and manage HRIS-related projects, such as system upgrades, integrations, and implementations, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to HR users, ensuring they are equipped to leverage the HRIS efficiently. Develop and maintain documentation and user guides.
- Compliance and Security: Ensure HRIS compliance with legal requirements, privacy policies, and data security standards. Assist with audits and work closely with compliance teams to ensure adherence to HR-related regulations.
- Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with HR, IT, and other departments to enhance the overall efficiency of HR technology systems and their integration with other business functions.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external HRIS vendors and partners, ensuring that contracts and service agreements are met, and system performance meets organizational needs.
- Innovation: Stay up-to-date with HR technology trends and advancements, recommending innovative solutions to drive system efficiency and effectiveness.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of experience in HRIS analysis, with a focus on system implementation, management, and optimization.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
- Strong expertise in HRIS platforms such as Workday, Oracle HCM, or similar systems.
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
- Knowledge of HR processes and policies, including payroll, benefits, compensation, performance management, and recruiting.
- Proven ability to manage complex HRIS projects and initiatives, with strong project management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience with system integrations and data migration.
- Familiarity with HRIS security and data privacy best practices.
