We’re on the lookout for a brilliant Senior Project Manager. If you have some serious digital agency and product experience and you’re quick, communicative and organised then this could be the role for you.
Working as part of a team you will be responsible for helping to understand the client’s brief, gather and prioritise requirements, set up projects correctly, task plan with a team, establish project costs, track, monitor and report on project progress, as well as managing the overall delivery of some seriously challenging projects that vary in size, platform and complexity.
You’ll need to have fantastic communication skills, hold a high degree of responsibility, with the diplomacy to build relationships and manage external and internal stakeholders whilst keeping projects on track. You will ensure our internal processes are translated into working practices and be responsible for ensuring these are adhered to at all times.
Requirements
- Managing projects of varying complexity, be they technical, CX, creative or a mix of both
- Manage projects across both waterfall and Agile methodologies as appropriate
- Being the day-to-day client contact for your projects, proactively managing scope, timings and budget to ensure a successful project outcome for Hugo & Cat, and happy clients
- Produce all necessary documentation on your account; ensuring correct templates are used where necessary
- Monitor financial tracking on a per project basis and work with your department and account leads to mitigate any issues that arise
- Developing great working relationships with other departments and promoting positive liaisons at the project level
- Ensuring retrospectives are held and knowledge shared within your account and within the wider delivery team
- Represent your client’s brand within Hugo and Cat and vice versa
- Communicating progress and appropriate escalation to your department leader
- Contributing to agency wide delivery process and templates (including enforcement)
- Work proactively with your department leader to manage your own workload and prevent over or under-utilisation
- Work with your Account lead to forecast resource requirements for your account/s at both project and account level, to feed into revenue forecasts and resource management capacity planning
A Senior Project Manager must have the following essential skills, knowledge or abilities:
- 4+ years’ experience of delivering projects within top digital agencies or client environment, including complex projects across a breadth of technologies and channels
- Deep industry knowledge, with experience in a relevant area such as user experience, software development, Product Ownership or business analysis
- A proven track record of managing complex projects and implementing innovative, interactive and consumer-focused under-utilization solutions
- Experience in adapting and influencing agency delivery processes, either within a specific account or across the wider organization
- Knowledge of current industry standard delivery methodologies, including Agile and waterfall, to allow the selection of the appropriate approach for a specific client or project
- Ability to create and refine the backlog for Agile projects, with responsibility for user story and acceptance criteria creation
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with peers and clients, and the ability to achieve results under challenging circumstances
- Ability to make sound commercial and financial decisions, quickly grasp an understanding of complex problems and propose solutions to facilitate fast resolutions
- Ability to work well under pressure whilst remaining objective and retaining a positive approach
- Be self-motivated, self-driven and independent, requiring little day-to-day oversight
- Demonstrated commitment to high standards of excellence and integrity, showing solid business acumen and sound judgment
- Outstanding communication skills at all levels, (presentation, written, verbal)
- Exceptional skills in MS Excel, Word and Project, Jira and Confluence/Azure DevOps/TFS/VSTS, with a very high degree of overall computer literacy
- Highly organized and tenacious, with exceptional attention to detail
- PRINCE2 Practitioner/Scrum Master accreditation is desired but not essential
