ABOUT YOU AND THIS ROLE:

You will serve as a vital resource for Operations by applying technical and organizational skills to drive the plant level continuous improvement program targeted at delivering maximum value from the assets, while continuously improving process safety and production efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Member of the plant improvement team, working to develop and implement Plant Specific Technology Plans in alignment with the Global Technology Plan including data collection, gap analysis, idea generation, prioritization, improvement project implementation, and review of results.
  • Coordinate and leverage globally, the resources required for implementation of the Technology plans.
  • Provide input for improvement of work practices and priorities using plant and improvement project data.
  • Has an in-depth understanding of technology and work practices as well as problem-solving and troubleshooting ability.
  • Support the facility root cause investigation process by serving as a team member or facilitator for incidents related to process technology. Leads and supports plant continuous improvement activities aligned to the PSTP and also supports the capital plan for the facility. Leads continuous improvement activities for the facility and may serve in specific GPM related roles of project manager or manufacturing representative.
  • Possess strong sense of ownership and are accountable for the success of continuous improvement efforts and for the economic return on those activities.
  • Adhere strongly to the MOC process in their organization to ensure that reviews are completed thoroughly, risks are adequately assessed, and personnel are properly trained prior to implementing changes in the production facility.
  • Ensure validation of project performance objectives after implementation
  • Ensures Most Effective Technology (MET) is understood and utilized.
  • Drive knowledge exchange with technology experts to increase awareness of potential improvement opportunities for the technology.
  • Actively participates in plant and/or business safety programs as appropriate.  Demonstrate positive influential behaviors through active plant engagement and excellent use of management systems.
  • Engaged with daily activities by attending daily plant meetings and responds urgently to plant issues and emergencies on an as needed basis.
  • Works with other functions, such as Engineering, Maintenance and Construction to ensure changes are implemented safely and reliably. 
  • Works closely with turnaround planning team to ensure projects are fully integrated and actively participates in plant turnaround.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.  No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
