Bilingual HR Assistant

 

Lasko Products, an industry leader in providing and manufacturing home environment products for over 100 years, is looking to add a Bilingual HR Assistant to our location facility in Franklin, TN.  This will be an onsite role.

The role of the HR Assistant will be responsible for handling a variety of personnel related administrative tasks and will provide clerical support to the HR department and employees regarding human resources related activities, policies, processes, and procedures.

Main responsibilities of this role will include:

1. Participating in recruitment efforts
2. Organizing resumes and job applications
3. Scheduling job interviews and assisting in interview process
4. Ensuring background and reference check are completed
5. Orienting new employees to the organization
6. Processing weekly and biweekly payroll

General HR Administration/Maintenance

1. Maintain current HR files and databases
2. Maintaining employee records
3. Performing file audits to ensure that all required employee documentation is collected and maintained
4. Performs department administrative function including; scanning and uploading of sensitive documentation into employee files, demonstrating a keen attention to detail
5. Prepares temporary staffing hours worked on excel worksheet weekly
6. Maintain strict confidentiality
7. Performs other related duties and projects as assigned
8. Assists and coordinate pre-hire folders, new employee onboarding, meetings, and other plant events

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Two to five years of professional experience as an HR Assistant, preferably in a Manufacturing/Production environment
• Advanced ability in the use of Microsoft Office; especially Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
• Bilingual in Spanish

 Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources
• Knowledgeable in effective communication tools and strategies

Knowledge, Sills, and Abilities:

1. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and maintains the appearance of confidentiality
2. Proficient knowledge of Word, Power Point and Excel
3. Advanced ability communicating verbally and in writing
4. Ability to process several HR documents with precision
5. Knowledge of HR task, laws, terms and programs
6. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high pressure environment
7. Experience working in a team oriented, collaborative environment
8. This is a full-time position. This position may require occasional work on evenings and weekends
