Contribute to ongoing optimizations and enhancements to our business-critical Tools and Platforms

As a key member of our dynamic Platform Engineering Team, you will spearhead the creation and maintenance of an innovative cloud-based tool kit designed to streamline and support complex software delivery processes. This cutting-edge toolchain and IDP facilitate seamless development activities across Milestone, ensuring the delivery of superior quality products to our global customer base. 

The platforms support our approx. 300 colleagues in Tech Group to making millions of lines of code come together into final high-quality product deliverables. You will be working with multiple technologies including Kubernetes, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Nexus etc. 

 

Your primary task will be to: 

• Based on experience and skills provide insights and ideas designing an efficient and reliable developer platform that scales. 
• Participate in designing and implementation new tools and workflows. 
• Engage proactively with stakeholders and internal users for continuously improvements of the development experience. 
• Provide support, guidance and evangelize the Platform Engineering teams systems and offerings. 
• Mentor and coach less experienced DevOps Engineers. 

 

Solid DevOps experience at senior level 

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in senior DevOps roles, showcasing a strong ability to lead, innovate, and mentor. it’s very important that you like to share your knowledge and coach colleagues with less experience than yourself. Related to this, you must thrive in a multi-cultural environment where it’s the TEAM that is the star. We don’t care who got the idea or how many stripes you have on your shoulders. The important thing is, that we have a culture where everyone feels comfortable and welcomed when sharing thoughts and ideas. You must also be able to make decisions without detailed manuals for everything imaginable. Additionally, your CV comprises: 

 

• Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud architecture & system administration. 
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Kubernetes, inclusive docker and terraform. 
• Solid experience in building CI/CD processes. 
• Strong experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions. 
• Experience with SonarQube and Nexus. 
• Experience in ELK stack 
• Linux system administration expertise
