Digital Intelligence Signaling & Systems (S&S) business provides engineering services, system integration and turnkey solutions to customers around the globe. The business operates through the regional model – organized as five geographical regions - with each region being responsible to execute the projects using the local application engineering and project management resources in each region. The Signaling team is responsible for pulling in support from Wabtec product lines as well as third party products from the industry.

Head of Signaling Engineering

Will direct and coordinate Signal Engineering operations, which may include business development, proposal preparation support, project management, talent acquisition, quality management, talent retention, material integration, and construction management.  The Vice President of Signal Engineering will take regional (North America) responsibility for strategic business growth, Engineering execution, and customer service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Regional oversite for compliance with corporate safety and quality policies
• Compliance assurance with industry standards such as AREMA, IEEE, EN, etc.
• Coordinate activities and manage resources for engineering and logistics planning
• Lead all demand planning efforts for current work as well as new project pursuits
• Lead and deliver on financial goals (Revenues, Orders, Cash, etc.)
• Deliver project budget and schedule goals
• Support strategic planning at a regional and business unit level
• Supervise staff, including hiring, employee communications, training, discipline, evaluation, and termination responsibilities.
• Promote organization in industry, manufacturing or trade associations
• Lead marketing and business development activities with class I customers and support BD activities with other transit agencies as it relates to our engineering services
• Focus on continuous improvement for the engineering organization
• Support our system engineering and integration teams
