Senior Developer, IT, ServiceNow

How you will make an impact:

• Engineer software code, ETL code, or develop web applications solutions by using application development tools.

• Analyze, design, develop, and implement software projects on the ServiceNow platform

• Lead project development teams through execution of best practices in software development, mentoring other team members, and ensuring that project deliverables are consistent with architecture, quality, security policies

• Introduce technical innovation and advancement by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

• Partner with key stakeholders and team members to ensure that implementations are conducted following an Agile approach and align with industry best practices.

• Collect, analyze, and fully explore and understand user requirements and current procedures to improve system capabilities, automate process workflows, and deliver enhancements on the ServiceNow roadmap

• Determine and lead the design of system specifications, standards, and programming

• Lead efforts to determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions

• Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code on complex issues

• Improve operations by conducting systems analysis, recommending changes, and formulating alternative solutions in policies and procedures.

What you'll need (Required):

Bachelor's Degree in related field + 5 years of previous experience in IT demonstrating solid performance in a role working with cross-functional teams on enterprise-level or complex/novel system implementations. Experience and training in the specific technologies that will be used for development.

What else we look for (Preferred):

• JavaScript and ServiceNow development experience

• Certifications in ServiceNow (ServiceNow HR Service Delivery or ServiceNow Customer Service Management)

• Excellent analytical skills, detail-oriented, and resourceful

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives

• Substantial knowledge and understanding of computer science fundamentals

• Substantial troubleshooting/debugging skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work towards long-term goals

• Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels

• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
