Summary: The Sr. Manager/Functional Lead Sales and Distribution is responsible for designing and managing the implementation of, as well as process improvements, within SAP S/4 HANA with a focus on the Order-to-Cash processes. This position will collaborate with key business stakeholders and IT staff on the strategy, planning, and execution for all S/4 implementations. This role will also be responsible for operational excellence, including the management of external IT resources within their functional area. This role will be a hands-on leader in configuration (primarily in the SAP S/4 HANA space) to drive synergies, developing key metrics to measure success as well as key contributor in the development of a strategic roadmap.

Responsibilities:

  • Will act as primary point of contact for all SAP SD functional project resources and then develop teams consisting of other technical resources and end users, wherever needed to successfully complete the deployment. Partner closely with various internal customers to identify best practice and further automation opportunities for SAP solutions.
  • Analyze business process gaps, develop test plans, and translate requirements into specs. Work with Master Data Resources to extract, transform and load data from legacy solutions. Understand the touch points for Sales & Distribution execution with Site Master, Customer Master Data, Billing, and Financial Postings.
  • Support operations including end user assistance, system troubleshooting, and configuration of the core SAP modules specifically SAP Sales & Distribution and Logistics, as well as, other areas, as needed. 
  • Manage end user support needs by coordinating training where required and initiating system projects where changes in SAP configuration or programming are required. Coordinate with SAP training staff to deliver professional and succinct training materials for SAP functionality.
  • Direct master data uploads and other annual system activities that are required for business continuity.
  • Successfully support SAP process changes and major data conversion efforts and have ownership and accountability for technical SAP support. 
  • Drive changes and enhancements through the change management process. This would include project management; communication with stakeholders, users, and developers; functional unit tests; user acceptance tests; cutover tasks, and ongoing support. 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business, or related field (MIS, IT) * SAP Certification a plus.
  • 8 years of hands-on SAP ERP platform configuration and greenfield deployment experience in SAP S/4 across Sales & Distribution (S/4 Fashion experience highly desired).
  • Track record of success leading complex transformation efforts with teams inside and outside of SD. 
  • Experience in front-to-back program/project management, Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and Change Management leading cross-functional initiatives.
  • Technical and operational knowledge and integration experience with other SAP functional areas - MM, PP, FI, and Logistics. Knowledge of Manhattan Distribution Systems. 
  • Deep experience and expertise translating business requirements and processes into low friction automation and high impact systems.
  • Able to demonstrate experience in SD within a Wholesale, CPG environment.
  • Willingness to travel, as needed.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong analytical skills, and ability to deal with ambiguity in a rapidly changing business environment.
