We are looking for you to join our team as a Principal Cyber Systems Engineer / Infrastructure Support Engineer based out of Chantilly, VA.
Responsibilities:
- Provide Engineering and Administrative support onsite for a team of developers and testers, often deviating from industry standard procedures to meet mission needs but maintaining system security standard.
- Develop solutions for systems & networks that support mission critical and mission essential infrastructure.
- Analyze existing systems & networks and make proactive recommendations to drive change and create efficiencies.
- Collaborate with mission system developers to create and deploy solutions in support of customer mission needs.
- Willing to perform minimal break/fix tasks
- Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
- Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
- As needed, identifies and procures hardware and software tools within budget to facilitate the continuity of development, deployment, and mission requirements for multiple teams, systems, and domains.
Principal Cyber Systems Engineer Basic Qualifications:
- Active SECRET Clearance with willingness and ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with Polygraph
- 5 years System/Network Administration & Engineering experience of server infrastructures with a bachelor’s degree; 3 years experience with a Master's Degree, 1 year experience with a PhD, OR 9 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
- Experience with Windows and Linux Server Operating Systems, with the ability to navigate a command line in both operating systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical problems without an available Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
- Experience deploying and administering virtual server environments in an enterprise environment.
- Experience with implementing and maintain Security Technical Implementation Guidance (STIG) recommendations for security compliance standards.
- Experience with an enterprise server patch administration system (e.g., Windows Server Update Services (WSUS))
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of with Server Operating System MS 2019
