Summary

As a Senior Lateral Specialist, Integration and Transitions, you will work closely with the Deputy Chief of Lateral Partner Integration (Transactions), Career Transitions, & Alumni, the Executive Director of Lateral Partner Integration (Disputes) & Strategy, Marketing, Business Development, Communications, Practice Group Leaders and Directors, Talent Acquisition, Office Administrators and other departments and attorneys to provide expertise and support in the development, implementation, organization, and deployment of Talent Integration programs and initiatives in the areas of pre-onboarding, onboarding, orientation, integration planning, strategic planning, business development planning, talent, lateral partner performance measurement and management, and overall support to the Deputy Chief and Executive Director regarding the programming and functioning of Talent Integration.

Location

This position can sit in our Austin, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, Palo Alto, Reston, San Diego, San Francisco, or Washington, DC office.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development, organization, management, and execution of firmwide Talent Integration initiatives.

  • Partner with the Deputy Chief and Executive Director and other departments (including Marketing and Business Development) to develop strategic integration and business plans for our lateral partners.

  • Develop continuous program planning improvements from concept through implementation, including improvements to Integration Plans and Business Plans.

  • Utilize expert project planning, process improvement, and change management tools and techniques to successfully support effectiveness, efficiency, and improvements, while meeting project deadlines on budget.

  • Build strong relationships with the Deputy Chief, Executive Director, lateral partners, Marketing and Business Development teams, Practice Group Directors, Office Administrators, Strategic HR Advisors, and others within the firm to continually improve Talent Integration.

  • Lead the development, improvement, ongoing review and updating, and effectiveness of internal Talent Integration content, including standard operating procedures and task management framework.

  • Design, deploy, organize, and continuously improve an exceptional pre-onboarding and integration experience for new lateral partners and others whom the Practice Groups may identify.

  • Continuously improve performance measurements for lateral partners.

  • Create and manage complex reports, assist in the design, deployment, and monitoring of key metrics to measure the effectiveness of functions and programs, pull together metrics, summarize, and report out the results with analyzed data for Talent Integration.

  • Stay up to date with best practices in key HR focus areas and tools available through IT/Knowledge and AI tools and both share knowledge with the team and implement knowledge for continual improvement.

  • Manage the Talent Integration processes, including making sure integration meetings with new lateral partners are happening to ensure the seamless integration and assimilation of new partners into the firm’s culture and the delivery of an exceptional integration experience.

  • Continuously review and update integration content inclusive of all firm practice groups, sectors, geographies, and administrative departments. Manage the process for onboarding content updates.

  • Write first draft of departmental reports to management.

  • Keep track of partners integrated and partner departures.

  • Continuously improve partner onboarding.

  • Other duties as assigned.
