Position: Project Specialist I
Successful candidate will work with project personnel to support project control from project inception to project closeout. Individual will support project business functions such as project document control, financial status and reporting, project accruals and invoicing, and project scheduling. Individual must be capable of working amicably and effectively in a matrixed organizational structure while interfacing with multiple Project Engineers, Project Managers, and Engineering Managers in different offices. Successful candidate plans and conducts work requiring judgment, independent evaluations, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard project control techniques, procedures and criteria.
Potential Tasks for Project Specialist I, Business Focus: Throughout the time in this position, the following tasks may be performed:
- Project setup
- Project document control
- Support project budget and schedule monitoring
- Support financial reporting
- Support accruals and invoicing
- Project closeout
- Support general office operation and administration
- Support project related administrative tasks
Potential Tasks for Project Specialist I, Quality Assurance Focus: Throughout the time in this position, the following tasks may be performed:
- Support QA records review and maintenance
- Support QA training records review and maintenance
- Support corrective action database maintenance
Potential Tasks for Project Specialist I, Business Development: Throughout the time in this position, the following tasks may be performed:
- Support opportunity tracking
- Support the proposal process (including tracking, formatting, transmittal, etc.)
Education Required: Bachelor’s degree from an ABET/EAC accredited program.
Experience Required: Entry-level position.
Other Qualifications: All applicants must possess good oral and written communication skills, as well as attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required. Accounting, financial reporting and vendor management experience are required. Effective time management skills are required as position may involve working on several projects/tasks concurrently. Successful candidates will be required to understand and comply with company policies, procedures, and processes. The capability to quickly learn industry reporting and documentation requirements is desired. Overtime work may be requested/required on a limited basis.
Data analysis experience is a plus.
