Job title: Crater

Primary Work Location:  Irving, Texas

Division/Department: Production

Supervisor: Department Lead / Shift Supervisor

Full Time - Exempt 

Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Crater to ensure all finished products are crated, packaged, and staged accurately and efficiently for shipping. This role is responsible for the hands-on crating and packaging of finished goods, maintaining quality control standards, and assisting in the safe staging and loading of products. The ideal candidate will be committed to safety, quality, and workflow efficiency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Crate, package, and secure finished products according to daily production and shipping schedules.
• Ensure all crating and packaging meets CDI quality standards and is secured properly for transport to prevent damage.
• Assist Crate Lead and Box Truck Drivers with the timely and safe staging and loading of finished goods onto trucks.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe crating and staging area, adhering to all company safety protocols and 5S principles.
• Follow all standard procedures for crating, packaging, material handling, and equipment operation.

Requirements

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: 

• Knowledge of freight loading, securement, and packaging techniques.
• Experience using various hand tools including Nail guns, Clinching tools, etc. 
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Basic computer proficiency for labeling and documentation.
• Forklift certification is required, or the ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire.
