Compensation: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
Location: Tucson, AZ/Old Tucson Entertainment
Summary: The Sales & Events Coordinator handles the planning and execution of Old Tucson Entertainment’s public and private events, as well as handling all minor sales department functions. This position is also responsible for rentals of OTE facilities for special events and parties.
Job Requirements
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Collaborates with management, vendors, staff and guests in the planning and execution of scheduled special events at OTE.
- Ensures compliance with licensing and branding requirements throughout coordination of OTE events.
- Scheduling entertainment/equipment rentals from various vendors, ensuring necessary contracts, insurance, and financial documents are executed and retained.
- Orchestrates special events, monitoring and facilitating other department involvement from planning phase to event completion.
- Coordinates with management on staffing plan for each event, leveraging OTE employees.
- Handle all incoming sales and events related calls and direct to the appropriate individuals.
- Oversee all small group sales calls and reservations.
- Field all incoming sales inquiries and forward specified sales accounts to the sales manager
- Works with management to develop site plan, location and logistics for OTE events and participates in setup and tear-down.
- Other duties, as requested.
Education, Skills and Work Experience
- Associate’s degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, or similar field (Preferred)
- At least 2 years’ of experience in coordinating sales and events
- At least 2 years’ experience in retail and/or customer service experience
- Energetic and enthusiastic personality
- Strong communication skills, including written, verbal and nonverbal communication, with a demonstrated ability to manage multi-faceted and complex tasks while adhering to deadline and budget constraints.
- Ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with others, including guests of all ages and staff.
Work Environment
- Most time is spent in an office setting.
- Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
- Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
- Varied schedule, sometimes requiring overtime and weekend work, as needed
- Some time spent around the park and event spaces where uneven surfaces and extreme weather conditions may exist.
