Position Information

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor First Call ticketing system and respond timely to all ticket requests. Expected response time between 24-48 hours. 25%
  • Provide excellent customer service for all units within Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Extension Service and Texas Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Laboratory. 10%
  • Establish all new customer setup requests in FAMIS for Texas A&M AgriLife Research, Extension Service and Texas Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Laboratory. This process requires personal log-in to the IRS website to verify vendor existence through the TIN Matching program. 25%
  • Monitor official Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Extension Service receipt book distribution and use. Confirm compliance with System policies and record retention guidelines. 18%
  • Prepare and process monthly payroll and insurance entries in FAMIS for Texas Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Laboratory.10%
  • Prepare and verify correct coding and authorized signatures on all deduct from expense (DFE) and deduct from income (DFI) requests for Texas Medical Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory. 2%
  • Monitor and fulfil all deposit-related supply requests for Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Extension service units including but not limited to, deposit bags, deposit books, stamps. 5%
  • Other duties as assigned. 5%

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience.

Preferred Experience:

Accounting experience in a business office.

Required Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:

Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications. Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
