Job Description
The QHSSE Compliance Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Compliance Officer in the planning, coordination and execution of internal and external audits and compliance activities following relevant regulatory and certification requirements. This role is hands-on and requires strong attention to detail, the ability to coordinate across functions, and commitment to ensuring compliance requirements are met.
The QHSSE Compliance Coordinator reports to the QHSSE Compliance Officer and is part of the Integrated Management System & Process Governance team. The team is part of the People, Culture and Standards staff functions within Business Area Wind. Team members are located across our core operating locations in Northern Europe.
Your key responsibilities:
- Support the Compliance Officer in developing and maintaining the QHSSE compliance strategy and annual audit plan.
- Assist in identifying the scope and content of QHSSE internal audits and support the development of annual compliance plans.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to schedule and execute internal audits, ensuring compliance with applicable standards, regulations, and guidance. In relation to this monitor and maintain the site and asset list within BA Wind.
- Collect and analyse data related to compliance activities and support the Compliance Officer in developing and reporting compliance KPIs.
- Assist in the development of corrective and preventative actions to address non-compliance issues identified through audits.
- Support the preparation and follow-up for external certification and surveillance audits conducted by the External Certifying Body.
- Maintain the training register for internal auditors and support the development of the competency framework for internal auditors.
- Act as a point of contact for internal stakeholders on compliance- and audit-related matters and provide guidance and support as needed.
- Support the Compliance Officer in the development of the QHSSE Management Review process and associated reports.
- Use data and analytics to risk profile and inform the wider Business Area Wind and the IMS & PG organisation on areas of focus and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop, maintain, and report QHSSE Compliance KPIs and develop action plans to resolve performance shortfalls.
Location
Office location can be either Hamburg, Berlin, Amsterdam, London, Kolding or Stockholm
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Environmental, Health and Safety, Quality Management or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in a compliance or audit role, preferably in a similar industry such as renewable energy or engineering.
- Strong knowledge of relevant regulatory and certification requirements (e.g. ISO 9001; ISO 14001, ISO27001, ISO 45001, ISO 55001).
- Lead Auditor ISO19011 certification with ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, ISO 14001 Lead Auditor, ISO27001 Lead Auditor or OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001 Lead Auditor qualifications preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills with a proficiency for handling and organising large amounts of data.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and experience with audit management or incident management software preferred.
- Knowledge of wind energy industry regulations and standards (preferred)
- Fluent in English, both verbally and written.
