We are looking for a Senior Manager / Manager, Global Quality Management to lead our Global Quality Management team in Pulp & Energy Business Line. In this position, you will focus on enhancing Quality Management through tight collaboration with P&E’s global organization. You are a result-driven key player driving Valmet’s performance forward to achieve excellence in quality processes and assure we meet our quality expectations. In this position you will navigate and cooperate with Valmet’s international matrix organization and its various stakeholder groups globally. You are the proud owner of our Business Line’s continuous improvement, management system development and internal and external audit processes and portfolios across the globe. Our current main locations are in Finland, Sweden, Denmark, India and China.
Your Responsibilities include:
Leading our global Quality Management team. As a line manager you will be responsible for overseeing resource allocation, promoting wellbeing and facilitating competence development within your team.
Developing and implementing strategic annual development actions of quality processes and practices in Pulp & Energy Business line, as well as driving selected development projects on Valmet level
Overseeing the management system, including maintenance, development, implementation, communication and training related to processes.
Owning and managing our portfolio of external and internal audits – including performing internal audits and addressing the audit findings
Driving continuous improvement – providing support and training to organization, facilitation of root cause analyses and value stream mappings, and supporting with Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) analyses and reporting. Secure the appropriate processes and practices for learnings from incidents.
Lean strategy development and implementation
Fostering active collaboration between the global quality management team, Process Owners of business processes as well as other relevant stakeholders in within Pulp & Energy Business Line and Valmet organizations
Expectations:
To be successful in this role you should have:
Minimum 10-15 years’ experience in Quality Management. Project Management understanding is considered a benefit.
A suitable master’s degree including quality related courses and good understanding of business processes.
Knowledge of Lean methodology as well as experience and formal training in lean skills and root cause analysis methods.
Excellent knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards with sufficient auditor competences. Lead Auditor Qualification is recommended.
Effective written and verbal communication skills in English along with training, presentation, and negotiation skills
Ability and skills to motivate internal and external stakeholders to deliver quality in global matrix organization and elevate our quality management processes.
