As the North American Operations Systems Coordinator, you will expand our Operations Center’s capabilities domestically across North America. Primary objectives of this position include the development of security & communications systems and technology that support employee safety, incident management and business resilience. Core competencies required of the ideal candidate include a strong technical aptitude and experience with various Facilities and Security operating systems including: access control, surveillance systems, building automation, electronic visitor management, and mass-notification tools. Candidates should have experience soliciting and managing vendor services and be comfortable working within a corporate environment with peers across various management levels. key attributes of this position are maintenance and oversight of all security systems, risk assessments that drive investment, and the mitigation of diverse business continuity threats.

In This Role
You will build a strong and resilient network among our North American locations and the IDEXX Facilities Operations Center based in Westbrook, Maine.
You will coordinate the installation, upkeep and operation of surveillance and access control systems between North American locations and Westbrook, Maine.
You will coordinate the installation, upkeep and operation of other technologies including a mass-notification system, duty-of-care software, and visitor management programs. You will also identify and recommend new technologies across our North American, and world-wide portfolio.
You will recognize key players and proactively develop strong working relationships within the extended North American team.
You will apply a quantifiable risk assessment standard for all North American locations to spotlight needs and opportunities, then use this assessment to benchmark locations.
You will streamline and help guide a comprehensive and interlocked security program for North America that addresses best practices and standard operating procedures.
You will conduct investigations, mine data, and provide summary reports of findings and recommendations.
You will play a role in emergency responses to our North American Facilities by proactively developing and coordinating plans with local leadership teams and our Facilities Operations Center team in Westbrook, Maine. Emergencies may include material spills, medical responses, and security matters.
You will be the primary liaison with law enforcement agencies, create opportunities to ensure familiarity with contacts and keep abreast of regulated security policies and procedures for your base location.
You will be situated close to one of several core IDEXX facilities, having a North American scope and responsibility and reporting directly to the Facilities Operations Center Manager based in the US. This is not a work from home position – We will require the successful candidate to live or relocate to within 30 minutes from a core IDEXX facility with preference being paid to the Memphis, TN facility.
You will be a positive-influencer on topics like workplace violence, business disruption mitigation tactics, and Facilities Operations Center-driven initiatives.
You may visit IDEXX facilities across North America as necessary to provide on-site assistance, assessments, training, or other Facilities Operations Center obligations when needed. Travel will be on a case-by-case need and organized through the IDEXX travel team.
Perform research, collect and mine data for analysis, conduct interviews in person and remotely, investigate incidents at the request of IDEXX Human Resources and draft associated reports.
What you will need to Succeed
The successful candidate for this position will have a strong facility and security systems background (access control, surveillance and communications systems), including the ability to set up, maintain and operate software systems with the highest levels of proficiency. You possess a strong intuition towards systems and software with an interest in learning new developments in this field.
