About the role

Position Overview
The Cloud Professional Services Delivery Director drives the strategic direction and successful execution of complex cloud service projects and programs for Rackspace Customers in North America. This key leadership role requires a combination of deep technical knowledge, project management expertise, customer management skills and a proven track record in cloud services. The ideal candidate will be passionate about leveraging cloud technologies to enhance service delivery and drive business success for Enterprise Customers. This role is responsible for the delivery management of all Complex Enterprise Engagements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement the overall strategy for cloud service delivery, aligning with the customer's goals and objectives.
  • Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of cloud projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope and budget, and with high customer satisfaction.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring their satisfaction with the services provided.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of service delivery managers and Program Directors fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Resource Management: Allocate and manage resources effectively to ensure project success and optimal utilization of team members.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality of services delivered meets or exceeds client expectations and industry standards.
  • Monitoring: Define performance management metrics and track it at a practice level.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to program delivery, client satisfaction, and team performance.
  • Performance Management: Monitor and evaluate cloud services' performance and engagements across multiple customers.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with service delivery projects, ensuring timely resolution of issues and challenges.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with cloud service delivery, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance service delivery efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Innovation: Stay abreast of the latest cloud technologies and trends and integrate new approaches to improve service delivery.

Requirements:

  • Experience: A minimum of 15 years of experience in cloud professional/project services delivery, with at least 8 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience: Should have delivered large complex engagements for customer organizations.
  • Experience: 10 Years of experience in consulting professional services organizations.
  • Education: A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
  • Project Management: Proven experience in managing large, complex cloud programs, projects using methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile or Scrum.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and identify innovative solutions.
  • Client Focus: A track record of building and maintaining strong client relationships, with a focus on delivering exceptional service.
  • Certification: Relevant cloud certifications, PMP, Scrum
