Dental Hygienist - Marshall Dentistry

Job Responsibilities:
• Prepares treatment room for patients according to procedures and protocols.
• Greets patients and prepares them for oral examinations. Screens patients for appropriate information.
• Cleans, keeps, and sterilizes dental instruments, trays, etc.
• Examines gums, removes calculus and plaque from all surfaces of the teeth and beneath gums. Applies preventive materials to the teeth.
• Charts condition of decay and disease for diagnosis and treatment by dentist.
• Educates patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health including tooth brushing, flossing, and nutrition.
• Takes and develops dental radiographs (x-rays).
• Makes impressions of patients' teeth for study casts.
• Maintains a clean, attractive work area and keeps clinical areas stocked with appropriate supplies.
• Performs other duties as assigned or requested.


Education: Graduate from a school of dental hygiene.
Experience: Prior experience is preferred.
