Responsibilities

 

The Director of Operations is a Hospice RN who serves as the local chief executive agent responsible for leading the local provider(s) in a better way to care for the community in which it serves, and contribute to the overall success of the company.  

 

The Director of Operations will manage the operations, services, personnel performance, and office management daily. 

 

Responsibilities include: 

  • Leads our coordinated team of hospice experts.
  • Manages all aspects of terminal care for our hospice patients.
  • Supervises the staff and the day-to-day office and clinical operations, manages the documentation requirements, oversees service coordination and the case management.
  • Plans the delivery, coordination, and the interdisciplinary team interventions for the Branch Hospice agency.
  • Responsible for the assignment of appropriate staff members to patients and will be acting team staff nurse when necessary.
  • Participate in community awareness and education programs.
  • Expertise in pain and symptom management

 

Qualifications

  • Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) 
  • Previous experience in hospice program preferred
  • Must have an associate degree in a health related field and two years' as a manager or supervisor.
  • Must not have been employed in the last year as an administrator with another operation at the time any enforcement action was taken against the business; further described in the company compliance policies.
  • Must have intermediate demonstrated technology skills, including operation of a mobile device.
  • Must possess a valid state driver license
  • Must maintain automobile liability insurance as required by law
  • Must maintain dependable transportation in good working condition
  • Must be able to safely drive an automobile in all types of weather conditions
  • Must comply with Texas state regulation 97.259 a-g requiring 24 hours of training in the first 12 months if a first time administrator. Must have documented completion of a minimum of 12 clock hours per year at a health administration seminar or through an approved provider.
