Position Purpose: Oversees the change management process, release of updates to technical systems, including developing release schedules, provides support during the technical release process, and ensures that production systems are functional following a successful release. Supports the deployment of the code to the test and production environments.
  • Leads projects from end-to-end
  • Aids with the coordination, planning, scheduling, control, and implementation of change and/or releases from initiation through delivery and support
  • Reviews submitted change requests for compliance, accuracy, and completeness
  • Collaborates with the IT change and release manager with the setup of change management in the IT Service Management (ITSM) tool and adoption of improved process
  • Provides communication and information, including relevant release reports and documentation as required
  • Ensures compliance by validating the appropriate checkpoints are met; coordinate release sign off between the various stage gates in the release cycle
  • Oversees regular reviews of the change and release management processes with the IT change and release manager; regularly identify and recommend service improvements
  • Monitors efficiency and effectiveness by providing management information on releases to senior management as required
  • Assists the IT change and release manager in completing regular audits of the change and release management process
  • Analyzes incident logs caused by releases to identify occasions where the process has not been followed; highlight any repeated non-compliance and ensure timely resolution/escalation
  • Collaborates with the IT risk register (working closely with the information security team) to identify and manage operational risks and work to eliminate areas of vulnerability
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards

Education/Experience: A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science).
Requires 5 – 7 years of related experience.

Or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position.

Technical Skills:

  • One or more of the following skills are desired.
  • Knowledge of Other: ITIL change management, service management and/or project management, IT security, patching, compliance, and best practices
  • Experience with IT Service Management; Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Other: an ITIL-based support environment and with IT Service Management (ITSM) systems such as ServiceNow
  • Knowledge of Other: release management
  • Experience with one or more of the following Other: ITIL Foundation or ITIL certificate in release, control and validation
  • Understanding of SDLC and release management core principals
  • JIRA, ServiceNow, Confluence, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams

Pay Range: $100,900.00 - $186,800.00 per year
