Role:
A product marketing manager (PMM) tells the product’s story to the market. The PMM’s job is to understand the product’s value proposition and turn that information into compelling messages for customers, prospects, and internal audiences.
What a day is like:
- Develop differentiated positioning and messaging informed by thorough knowledge of the audience, competition and industry; effectively communicate the value to the intended audience
- Responsible for the strategy, development and execution of product launches from crafting messaging, content and initiatives to tracking progress and measuring success
- Lead the development and execution of comprehensive go-to-market plans to drive acquisition and/or customer engagement
- Enable internal teams by being the internal voice of the customer. Own competitive analysis for the product to help inform decision making
- Partner with consumer insights on the development of market analysis to obtain understanding of the competitive landscape and help establish product differentiators
- Partner with larger Brand and Marketing team to develop relevant and consistent product storytelling through the go-to-market process
You’re perfect for this role if you have:
- 5+ years of experience in product marketing, integrated marketing and/or brand management experience, ideally for a B2C product
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute integrated go-to-market plans, from research to conception to launch
- Strong strategic and analytical mindset with the ability to also think creatively
- Exceptional organizational and project management experience
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Comfortable working in a fast paced, agile start-up environment
- Exceptional writing skills and proven ability in storytelling to influence a C-suite audience
- Strong communication and presentation skills
