Commercial Glass Service Technician

Palmetto State Glass, a leading commercial glass company in Columbia, SC specializes in storefronts, curtain walls, entrance systems, and replacement glass. We would like to hire a talented and professional glazier to measure, cut and install glass fittings for our City Service Department.  To be successful, you should: 

• Follow and promote safe work practices
• Ensure installation meets Palmetto State Glass and Manufacturer’s installation quality standards
• Review and understand project specifications, timeline, and budget
• Ensure that all tools and necessary equipment are available to complete projects
• Execute projects to timeline and budget
• Prepare daily for next day and week’s upcoming projects
• Control and organize project materials in shop
• Maintain assigned company vehicle and equipment
• Maintain shop organization and cleanliness
• Fabricate storefront and curtain walls

Skills and Duties

• Cut glass and mirrors
• Install storefront, curtain walls, doors, hardware and glass
• Fabricate and install break metal
• Caulk
• Conduct daily quality assurance audits throughout projects
• Specific attention to material details used on a daily basis
• Possess customer service relations
