Security Team Leader, Nuclear Fuel Services, Inc.
Summary Description of Job:
Directs and controls activities associated with the implementation of the Physical Protection Plan for their team. Ensures compliance with government regulatory requirements, plans, and post orders. Monitors and maintains current knowledge of emerging security alerts, issues, threats and trends. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Major Duties and Responsibilities of Job:
- Administers site security activities associated with the physical protection plan.
- In the event of a security contingency response or abnormal security situation, directs their team in response.
- Implements appropriate measures to compensate for the loss of effectiveness of security systems as required by regulations and approved security procedures.
- Assists in plant wide efforts regarding emergencies or other abnormal contingencies to assure personnel safety and regulatory compliance.
- Ensures their teams security posts are manned and equipped appropriately.
- Coordinate with security supervisors as required in support of security operations and staffing.
- Monitor fatigue for on-shift security personnel and communicate issues to the Security Operations Supervisor.
- Collect and audit all applicable paperwork relating to security operations.
- Observe, conduct, and document security equipment testing to ensure procedural compliance.
- Investigate allegations of security violations.
- Provide support to security officers and supervision in completion of their duties.
- Executes compensatory measures to compensate for the loss of effectiveness of systems as required by regulation and approved security procedures.
- Maintains department filing and records management.
- Compiles and organizes information/reports that are generated within the department.
Educational Requirements of Job:
Minimum A.S. degree in technical field OR minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
Experience Requirements of Job (Beyond Educational or equivalent)
With A. S. degree one year or less of experience OR without A. S. degree, 4 years of relevant experience.
Other Qualifications of Job Include:
- Must be able to obtain/maintain a DOE Q clearance
