Position Overview
Our Insurance Specialist Internship offers a dynamic opportunity for students seeking hands-on experience in one of the nation’s most respected crop insurance companies. Interns will gain exposure to both the claims and marketing sides of the business through real-world projects, interactive classroom sessions, and mentorship from experienced professionals.
This 360-degree internship includes:
- Field experience in claims adjustment and underwriting
- Marketing and customer engagement projects
- Team-based assignments and problem-solving
- Classroom instruction and interaction with senior leadership
This internship runs from June to early August 2026 and is located in Johnston, Iowa.

Fundamental understanding of federal crop insurance policies and the federal crop insurance program
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in one of the agriculture/marketing-related fields listed above
- Minimum 3.0 GPA required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Willingness to travel locally as needed
- Eagerness to learn new systems, contribute to projects, and grow professionally
