Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the technical cyber security capabilities necessary for safeguarding the firm's endpoints. Design, plan, test and implement phases of cybersecurity technology projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job.  Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below.  Specific activities may change from time to time. 

1. Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of the technical cyber capabilities to protect Truist endpoints.

2. Develop and deliver strategic cyber security endpoint initiatives/ technical capabilities which align with business goals, regulatory requirements, and budget.

3. Partner with stakeholders such as architecture, CTO, other cyber and strategy teams on the evaluation, testing, selection, and architectural design to drive the implementation of new information security endpoint technologies and the integration of existing technologies into new use cases.

4. Develop/invent highly innovative solutions within multiple information security technologies, theories and/or techniques that impact CIS strategy.

6. Set the Security Endpoint engineering team's direction and communicates individual and team priorities and deliverables for the team against expected results. Make leadership decisions within established policies, procedures, and established objectives.  

7. Lead highly complex and visible projects with notable risk and complexity.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree and ten to twelve years of experience in systems engineering or an equivalent combination of education and work experience

2. Strong functional and technical knowledge of information/cyber security capabilities with deep expertise in one or more of the following areas: Encryption, Data Security, Application Security, End Point Security, Identity and Access Management, Windows/Unix/Linux Systems Security, Mainframe Security, Perimeter Security, Network Security, Mobility Security, Cloud Security, Cyber Security, Cryptography, or Authentication Systems

3. Strong understanding of service lifecycle management, strategic planning, and the cyber security landscape

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Master’s degree or MBA and ten years of experience in business analysis or an equivalent combination of education and work experience

2. Banking or financial services experience. Prior management experience

3. Experience in leading large-scale complex projects from beginning to end.

4. ISSEP Certification

5. Other security certifications (e.g. CCNA Security, GSEC, GCED, GPPA, etc.)

6. Other technical Certifications (e.g. CCNA, RHCE, MCSE, etc.)

7. Certification in Information Security Management (e.g. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)), or related security certification(s)
