About the role

JOIN THE TEAM

This position entails a broad range of responsibilities and accountability in the Operational Planning process of the Operating Division Performance Materials (PM) as well as coordinate the sustainability related KPI tracking and reporting under the scope of non-financial targets. The primary focus is on coordinating the annual budget process for the Division, which involves setting up timelines, providing templates for data input, and establishing general assumptions in line with central planning information for the business units (BUs). The role also includes ensuring final alignment with top management, BU heads, and the Ressort Head. Join us in our office in Waterloo.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You coordinate the Operational Planning process. Set up timeline, provide BUs with templates for data input as well as general assumptions and central planning information.
  • You are co-responsible for the monthly reporting of PM-results towards the management of the Division. This includes the submission of the GET-comment to CFP, with all related preparations, and all other monthly reports.
  • Based on defined PM sustainability-related KPIs, you will work out concepts together with the Corporate Controlling Community, Strategy and other relevant stakeholders to promote transparency and create awareness about the portfolio's development and profitability.
  • Responsibility for all types of business-related ad hoc requests from CFP, Ressort or other service units, including preparation of the business update for PM's Global Steering Committee meetings.
  • Support the coordination and implementation of controlling related activities under the scope of the New Generation Business Architecture project.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • University degree in business administration, accounting, economics.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience.
  • Experience with BASF processes and proficiency with BASF systems such as SAP, COINS, COBUS is a differential.
  • Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking.
  • Effective communication.
  • Ability to extract executive summary messages out of detailed datasets
