Our team is searching for a Sr. Project Controls Team Leader to work at our Geismar, LA site where we operate one of six BASF Verbund Sites, where our integrated approach to manufacturing, research and the overall management philosophy allows us to create chemistry for a sustainable future.

As a member of the E&M Shared Services team at Geismar, you will be responsible for oversight of Alliance Contractor Project Controls (e.g., estimating, planning, scheduling, cost controlling, document control, etc.), collaboration with Business Units on upcoming TAR support needs, and collaboration with ACS Supervisors on upcoming ACS resource needs. 

 

 

As a Sr. Project Controls Team Leader, you create chemistry by…

 

 

• Providing supervision, leadership, and guidance to a team of BASF direct reports, also providing oversight of scheduling for small capital projects and collaborate with ACS Supervisors on upcoming ACS resource needs.
• Monitoring planning workload, coordinating GEC/OG planner and scheduler assignments. Also leading continuous improvement of new scheduling, planning and cost tracking tools.
• Administrating site contractor planner/scheduler site strategy and leading sourcing and resource management of contractor planner/schedulers. You will also be responsible for creating, maintaining, and enforcing planning norms.
• Monitoring and reporting on contractor productivity and budget management using dashboards and other spreadsheets, also facilitating the Site Turnaround Leadership Team STLT, and leading the Time on Tools program.
• Identifying, implementing tools and costing saving measures that will provide consistency and efficiency in how project controls are executed at the Geismar site.
• Developing and maintaining relationships with multiple business units to establish trust as an internal service provider.

 

 

If you...

 

 

• Solid leadership ability, strong organizational skills, effective written and verbal communication skills, strong technical skills, and interpersonal skills.
• Have a bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or related degree.
• Possess at least 5 years of Project Management and Project Controls experience in construction related to Manufacturing environments.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certificate is a plus.
• Computer proficiency will be necessary, education and related experience.
