About the role

Description

Tryon International is seeking a vigilant and dependable Overnight Guest Services and Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our guests, employees, and property. This role involves monitoring the premises, responding to incidents, enforcing resort policies, and providing exceptional customer service to ensure a peaceful and secure environment during overnight hours.


Job Type: Part-Time

Shift: Overnight (Typically 10:00pm – 6:00am) but subject to change


Key Responsibilities:

  • Patrol  & Surveillance: Conduct routine patrols of the resort grounds, buildings, parking areas, and restricted zones to deter and detect suspicious activity.
  • Guest & Employee Safety: Respond promptly to security concerns, disturbances, and emergencies, ensuring a safe environment for guests and staff.
  • Access Control: Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, ensuring only authorized personnel have access.
  • Incident Response: Investigate alarms, disturbances, and security breaches; document findings and take appropriate action.
  • Report Writing: Maintain accurate logs and detailed incident reports to document security activities and issues.
  • Emergency Assistance: Provide support during medical emergencies, fires, or evacuations, coordinating with local emergency services as needed.
  • Enforcement of Policies: Ensure compliance with resort rules, policies, and local laws, addressing any violations professionally.
  • Customer Service: Assist guests with directions, lost items, and other security-related concerns in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Surveillance System Monitoring: Utilize security cameras and alarm systems to oversee resort activities and detect potential threats.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Prior security, law enforcement, or military experience preferred.
  • Ability to remain calm and respond effectively in high-pressure situations.
  • Strong observational and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing abilities.
  • Basic knowledge of security systems, alarms, and emergency response protocols.
  • Must be able to work overnight  shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods; occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening.
