Explore an outstanding opportunity to become a valuable team member of our Finance department at Pines Village, a senior living community located in Whiting, NJ. As a valuable team member, you will play a pivotal role as we embark on new projects and experience expanded growth.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for, and resident and/or representative inquiries for all levels of residential and supportive living
  • Reconcile and report on census activity ensuring accuracy in census related to admissions, discharges and refunds
  • Cash receipts deposits and posting
  • Maintain daily cash log and assist accounting department in recording of banking transactions, cash flow monitoring and reporting
  • Assist in monthly reporting and communications as needed
  • Responsible for receiving accounts payable invoicing, data entry and submitting to corporate finance as well as periodic check processing
  • Ensuring purchase order processes are followed for procurement of goods and services
  • Responsible for various periodic reporting as required to federal, state, and local agencies
  • Act as liaison between all onsite departments and the corporate Finance department
  • Participate in weekly internal transition meetings and communicate to Sales and Marketing any potential transfers out of IL for corporate monthly census meeting
  • Update PCC and Matrix for any changes: sets up census info, scans all documents and contracts
  • Ensures departments comply with Finance department needs for admissions, discharges, etc.
  • Distributes annual increase letters, service selection forms and other resident notices as needed

Requirements:

  • Associate Degree in Accounting or Business Administration is preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of related experience.
  • Previous experience working in a healthcare environment, specifically a CCRC or Assisted Living, preferred.
  • Knowledge of healthcare billing requirements, accounts receivable management and financial applications.
  • Strong communication, analytic, and financial skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, handle multiple priorities, and to work independently.
