Job Summary
As leader in the hospitality industry, Levy is seeking an Venue Technology Manager to join our team supporting the new Intuit Dome, future home of the LA Clippers. This is a brand-new venue aiming for a unique customer experience in sports & entertainment, so your input and flexibility will be instrumental in its success.
Ensuring all systems are working properly and efficiently is critical to the success of our overall operations. We are looking for someone who has great attention to detail, knowledge and understanding of the role technology plays in our industry; who is obsessed with solving problems and thrives in a fast-paced environment; who is confident and comfortable speaking with internal and external stakeholders; and who desires to learn quickly and grow their career.
The role will report to the Senior Regional Information Technology Manager.
Day in the Life (includes, but not limited to):
• Primary point of contact in-venue for all Information Technology related systems
•Support all Food & Beverage (Concessions, Premium, Clubs, and Suites) related technology including computer-aided vision Point-of-Sale hardware and software including system change management, preparation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, upgrades, and event support.
•Collaborate with technology vendors, on-site support, Regional IT, and location personnel for IT related issues.
•Foster healthy relationships with venue management and Levy operations teams
• Manage team of hourly IT support resources to ensure adequate event support coverage.
•Analyze IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and other metrics; including documentation of technical issues and resolutions
•Review and evaluate new technology and system offerings against current and future business needs and work with Home Office IT and Digital Strategy Team to make recommendations for implementation.
•Advising Operations on best practices and creating and/or adjusting SOPs to support POS/Technology requirements across the venue.
•Other tasks as assigned.
What You Bring to the Table
• BS/MS in Computer Science or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience (at least 5 years); previous IT/systems leadership experience
•Knowledge of implementing hardware and software in the hospitality industry required
•Proven aptitude for leading a team and ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with various stakeholders.
• Proven experience in configuring, maintaining and supporting technology systems, such as POS systems and digital ordering platforms, IP networks, and internet – with passion for understanding and enabling emerging technology
•Effective problem solver with strong attention to detail
•Ability to multitask and remain calm in stressful situations.
•Excellent communication skills (oral and written), interpersonal, organizational and time management skills.
•Ability to work individually as well as a member of a team and collaborate with others outside the venue.
•High-energy, self-motivated, action oriented, positive and humble attitude, flexible, hard-working, high level of integrity.
Schedule & Travel
• Ability to work long shifts (before, during, and after scheduled events) – 40+ home games per season and 60+ concerts year-round
•Opportunity to travel to other local venues on a support basis
•Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
