Go to Market/ Business Technology at DeepL The Go to Market/ Business Technology set of teams focus on the scalability of the business model at DeepL, which is around subscriptions and account data. We basically cover the infrastructure and revenue generating activities for how DeepL makes money: identity and access management, subscription and billing engine and platform, conversion and retention optimization, as well as invoicing and reconciliation with our financial systems, support systems, and also data flow over to enterprise software systems for our marketing and sales account management operations. We support this infrastructure for current and future use cases for our existing products, with the aim of anticipating and accelerating the business's revenue growth expectations through technology.

What will you be doing at DeepL? As Senior Engineering Manager for Go to Market/ Business Technology teams, you will play a key role in driving the technical development of our business technology systems, including as but not limited to payments, identity and login and monetisation. This will involve working closely with product partners as well as your team of Engineering Managers to develop the track's teams and overall strategy. Your leadership and technical expertise will have a significant impact on the company’s overall technical strategy and roadmap, making this a challenging and highly rewarding opportunity for experienced professionals who thrive on such responsibility.

Your responsibilities

• Delivery & Engineering Excellence: Together with key stakeholders, you will represent the track's overall goals and strategic objectives. You will also guide the teams in the track with regard to the timely delivery of new features, maintenance of existing ones, and the establishment of high engineering excellence metrics. You will work together with your peers in the Engineering organisation to advance the organisation by driving initiatives and collaborate on others. You will closely work with the Apps & Integrations track to find common ways to advance our product cross platform
• People Leadership: You'll inspire, develop, recruit and motivate a team of Engineering Managers and Staff+ Engineers, which includes establishing 1:1s with people, setting their development or improvement plans, and establishing a healthy, non-retaliatory feedback culture
• Track Management: You will be an equal partner of the track’s Group Product Manager and other peers for a shared responsibility of the track’s strategy, quarterly goals, and business metrics. You will ensure ensure alignment and coordination between the teams in the track. You plan and allocate the track’s engineering resources together with the track’s Engineering Managers and Craft Leads (if applicable) and your manager
• Manage growth: You enjoy accompanying change and finding new solutions together with your peers and manager and other stakeholders in a growing and rapidly changing environment
