The VP Governance and Portfolio Delivery is leader in the Enterprise Program Management Office, responsible for maturing the enterprise strategic portfolio governance, standards, and framework. The role will lead improvements to the project intake and prioritization standards, improve the end-to-end portfolio management life cycle; establish portfolio/program reporting standards, and mature the stakeholder governance model.

Responsibilities:

  • 20% - Lead and mature the enterprise portfolio management delivery framework, governance, and standards within agile and waterfall, hybrid environment.
  • 20% - Partner with IT and business teams to align their standards and processes to the portfolio delivery framework.
  • 10% - Responsible for establishing portfolio/program dashboards to report portfolio performance, including KPI/OKR metrics, financials, and overall portfolio/program status.
  • 10% - Facilitate monthly portfolio reviews and support internal/external updates to key stakeholders.
  • 20% -Responsible for regular governance reviews and lead continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • 20% - Ability to lead and deliver project prioritization activities for the enterprise and senior leadership.

Required Education, Experience, Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or Project Management and 10 years project/program management experience within an Enterprise Program Management Office OR High School diploma and 15 years project/program management experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in process development and improvement with considerable experience implementing and maintaining project/program governance and standards.
  • Experience in developing and implementing process improvement initiatives.
  • Direct people management experience with success in leading teams through transformational change.
  • Ability to build strong partnerships with stakeholders at various leadership levels.
  • Seasoned leader with proven experience leading change initiatives.
  • PMP, PMP-ACP or other Agile certification

Desired Education, Experience, Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years project/program management experience within an Enterprise Program Management Office OR High School diploma and 17 years project/program management experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in process development and improvement with considerable experience implementing and maintaining project/program governance and standards.
  • Experience in developing and implementing process improvement initiatives.
  • Direct people management experience with success in leading teams through transformational change.
  • Ability to build strong partnerships with stakeholders at various leadership levels.
  • Seasoned leader with proven experience leading change initiatives.
  • PMP, PMP-ACP or other Agile certification
