Role

This role exists to accelerate Rogo’s content and data business globally. It reports directly to the President and owns the relationships, commercial structures, and strategic initiatives to scale Rogo’s content ecosystem.

This role will also help define the commercial and licensing models for financial content in an AI-native world. Many of these arrangements will have no established market precedent. Success requires strong commercial judgment, fluency in the financial data ecosystem, comfort with complex rights and economics, and the ability to turn signed agreements into differentiated products that customers use and value.

Specifically, the role involves:

  • Developing Rogo’s global content and data partnership strategy, including market mapping, partner prioritization, and a multi-year content roadmap

  • Owning stakeholder relationships with commercial decision-makers at financial data, research, and info-services platforms globally

  • Leading negotiation of partnership contracts with content providers — many of which are novel agreements without standard market precedent

  • Establish frameworks for AI-native content use, including model usage rights, derived outputs, attribution, entitlements, auditability, and redistribution

  • Designing and implementing novel commercialization models that align Rogo’s platform with the evolving economics of content consumption

  • Feeding directly into product and commercial strategy, in partnership with Sales, Post-Sales, and Marketing — how Rogo bundles, prices, and brings content to market will be shaped significantly by this role

  • Partnering with Sales, Post-Sales, and Marketing to shape how Rogo packages, prices, positions, and brings content-enabled products to market

  • Collaborating with Legal and Finance on intellectual-property rights, compliance requirements, contractual risk, and complex deal economics

  • Working cross-functionally with Product and Engineering to translate partnership requirements into platform capabilities

  • Helping define Rogo’s external point of view on AI-era content economics and represent the company with senior industry stakeholders

Profile:

The ideal person has spent their career inside the financial data and information-services ecosystem and has personally carried deals from start to finish.

They likely come from a partnerships, BD, or commercial role at a major data or research provider — e.g., Bloomberg, LSEG, S&P, etc. — or a firm adjacent to or serving these players where they owned provider or distribution relationships and negotiated the terms.

In addition to the above, key qualifications include:

  • Deep familiarity with and relationships within the financial data ecosystem including Bloomberg, FactSet, S&P / Visible Alpha, Morningstar, and others

  • Proven negotiation experience — not just coordination

  • Strong commercial instincts; treats partnerships like a sales pipeline

  • Ability to independently evaluate dataset quality and strategic value, as an input into both commercial and Product decision-making

  • Experience in data partnerships/BD and/or commercial roles within financial data and info-services

  • Fluency in content economics and licensing structures, including enterprise licenses and redistribution rights

  • Structured, detail-oriented, and disciplined in tracking relationships and deal cycles

  • Excellent communicator we trust in front of major partners

  • Record of operating autonomously on high-stakes decisions with incomplete information, and being trusted in front of a provider's most senior people

  • Familiarity with the intellectual-property and data-rights questions created by generative AI and AI-enabled research workflows
