We are seeking a Senior People Operations Business Partner - Buckner Retirement Services (BRS) to join our team committed to delivering outstanding service to our employees. What you'll do:
- Collaborate with business leaders to align People Operations strategies with business objectives.
- In partnership with the Senior Director People Operations – BRS, develop and implement talent strategy to meet current and future business needs at assigned communities.
- Act as a coach and trusted business partner to leaders and People Operations associates.
- In partnership with People Operations associates, review key business performance targets and their related talent implications with business leaders.
- Provide business leaders with advice regarding management of complex employee relations concern or performance/behavior concerns and documenting actions taken.
- Support organizational change initiatives, ensuring effective communication and smooth transitions.
- Use insights and evidence-based data to develop and implement solutions to improve organizational effectiveness at assigned BRS communities.
- Assist the Senior Director, People Operations – BRS by coaching, guiding, and supporting People Operations field staff in effectively delivering People Operations solutions.
- Lead complex internal investigations. Ensure internal investigations are completed in alignment with established SOPs. Review supporting documentation and provide guidance to People Operations field staff.
- Support community recruitment efforts by participating, as requested, in final interview processes.
- Ensure onboarding processes are followed at assigned communities to ensure a seamless experience for new hires.
- Support Buckner leadership with the performance management processes, including performance reviews, and coaching.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and work with People Operations leadership and business leaders to implement efforts.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Update and enforce Buckner policies and procedures in alignment with legal requirements and best practices.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment by promoting Buckner values and initiatives.
What you’ll bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR) preferred.
- At least seven years of progressive HR experience, including partnering with leadership teams.
- Proven experience in interpreting and applying federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Experience in driving change initiatives and leading efforts to improve processes, organizational effectiveness, and employee engagement.

- Capable of influencing and coaching managers and leaders to adopt best practices and foster a positive work culture.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Business acumen with the ability to align People Operations strategies to business needs.
