Job Description Qualifications:

The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Associate Maintenance Operations Planning Analyst to join the team in Seattle, WA.

The Maintenance Operations Planning group develops and maintains aircraft maintenance inspection requirements, schedules, and provides technical support to enable customers to meet their flight maintenance and operations requirements.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Gather and format work instructions to be performed at the airplane

  • Create aircraft-specific work packages from aircraft maintenance manuals, Boeing task cards, engineering dispositions, life limited items, storage, and contractual items

  • Interpret and comply with FAA Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins

  • Track inspection requirements, monitor daily airplane operations and flights, issue inspection requirements, and check compliance of all accomplished work

  • Provide technical support, revisions, and updated documents to customers

  • Support activities to validate aircraft parts and materials are scheduled and routed per plan

  • Track and update inspection compliance and update dates/time intervals in tracking tool

Additional Position Responsibilities:

  • Assist with FAA airworthiness certification and ticketing for both operational and/or experimental aircraft. Supports FAA/ODA with providing evidence of compliance

  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Flight Test maintenance and quality teams, flight crew, customers, suppliers, vendors, and FAA to meet schedule, product, and regulatory requirements

  • Applicant will work under general supervision; must be an independent self-starter, self-motivated, attention to detail person that can accomplish own work statement. Having outstanding written and oral communication skills, as well as exhibit excellent interpersonal/team participation skills

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. This position may allow the selected candidate to work a hybrid schedule of in-office/virtual assignments with rotating on-call schedule. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years of experience with specialized knowledge of commercial and commercial derivative aircraft, maintenance processes, policies, culture, and standard practices (e.g., return to service, normal duties/responsibilities, time constraints, available resources)

  • 1+ years of experience interpreting commercial technical data including drawings, maintenance and operations manuals

  • Proficient utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience with commercial and commercial derivative aircraft maintenance processes, policies, culture, and standard practices (e.g., flight line operations, return to service, normal duties/responsibilities, time constraints,)

  • Knowledge of Approved Inspection Program (AIP) for aircraft maintenance tasks and inspections which outlines the processes, procedure and specifications used to define and perform airplane maintenance, preventative maintenance and inspections

  • Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe & Power Plant (A&P) license or military equivalent experience preferred

  • Experience interpreting Airworthiness Directives and Federal Aviation Regulations preferred. Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) Parts 21, 25, 43, 65, 91, 119, 121, and 145 on the maintenance, certification, repair, and operation of aircraft to ensure compliance in concept and design

  • 3+ years of experience working in Manufacturing or Flightline operations

  • Experience working with aircraft ATA (Air Transport Association) systems and equipment (All model Boeing aircraft)

  • Experience working with aircraft ATA (Air Transport Association) systems and equipment (All model Boeing aircraft)

  • Bachelors degree or higher
