A Day in the Life

In this exciting role as Software Engineer II, you will have responsibility for supporting Diabetes engineering teams by applying your expertise for product development and improvement.

This position is an exciting opportunity to work with Medtronic's Diabetes business. Medtronic has announced its intention to separate the Diabetes division to promote future growth and innovation within the business and reallocate investments and resources across Medtronic, subject to applicable information and consultation requirements. This separation provides our team with a bold opportunity to unleash our potential, enabling us to operate with greater speed and agility. As a separate entity, we anticipate leveraging increased investments to drive meaningful innovation and enhance our impact on patient care.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Designs, implements reports functionality as per defined requirements provided by the product owner.

  • Reviews changes from other developers to ensure quality deliverables.

  • Collaborates with the Product Owner and System Analyst to analyze the requirements and identify solutions.

  • Analyzes any issues identified by the QA team in the implemented functionality and address on priority.

  • Investigates the complaints from the field and communicate resolution to the customer service team.

  • Actively participate in the grooming and planning meetings.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Math, or similar field with 4+ years of experience as Software Engineer

OR

Master Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Math, or similar field with 2+ years of experience as Software Engineer

Nice to Have

  • Well versed with C# and .NET Core.

  • Good knowledge on Object-oriented analysis and design (OOAD) and design patterns.

  • Experience with writing unit test cases using unit test frameworks.

  • Experience in software design including OOA/OOD and design patterns.

  • Familiarity with JIRA, Bitbucket and git

  • Good to have knowledge and experience in at least one container platform like Docker, Kubernetes etc.

  • Good to have knowledge and experience in REST API development, Microservices.

  • Nice to have prior experience in medical device industry.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$98,400.00 - $147,600.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certifi
