Playfly Sports is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Berwyn, PA.

 

The Accounts Payable Specialist will perform all phases of the accounts payable function. This individual will be responsible for assisting with processing and paying all vendor invoices. The Accounts Payable Specialist will also help track and record payments made to contractors and vendors.

 

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

• Assist with review of vendor invoices and supporting documentation for adherence to purchase orders, approval policies, and general ledger account coding  
• Assist with processing vendor payments (check/ACH/wire) and remittances

• Help maintain vendor files with supporting documentation (name, address, TIN, 1099 status, banking information, etc.) 
• Assist with preparation and filing of annual 1099 forms 
• Participate in preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and account analyses 
• Assist with auditing and processing employee expense reports (T&E) on a biweekly basis
• Research and resolve questions from vendors and internal customers, escalate to director as needed

• Archive documentation for departmental audit trail and controls 
• Assist with financial and tax audits

 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

• High School Diploma required, bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred 

• 2 years' experience working in accounts payable
• Experience working in NetSuite or similar system
• Must have a working knowledge of internal controls 
• Detail-oriented and able to produce accurate, timely and meticulous work products 
• Strong analytical skills, strong oral and written communication skills 

• Must be able to work cooperatively and effectively with both internal and external clients
• Must be proficient in use of Microsoft Excel and Word  

 

TRAVEL, LIFTING, PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 

• This is a sedentary role which primarily takes place in an office setting
• Minimal travel required to attend all-hands meetings/company-wide events
