PAY
$47.55 - $72.65 Hourly
The normal starting pay for this position is the minimum of the pay range listed above. A higher rate of pay may be considered, dependent on the qualifications and experience of the selected applicant and/or the City’s step placement policy.

JOB SUMMARY
This position is located in Administration Division of the Finance Department within the City of Oklahoma City and reports to a department head. The Business Manager is responsible for overall planning and monitoring of departmental programs and activities including: projections of revenues; use of various fund sources; grants management; contract administration; and capital improvement programs. Essential job functions include: assisting in planning, designing, directing and overall management of the business operations of a major department of municipal government; negotiating and administering contracts and developing new contractual approaches and concepts; preparing departmental budgets; developing and administering departmental policies, goals and objectives; supervising accounting activities including the continued development and maintenance of effective cost accounting and management information systems; developing long-term and short-term operating plans; and evaluating and recommending changes in program functions based on operating effectiveness. The employee provides executive management with written and/or verbal reports on a variety of complex administrative, technical, or financial matters.
