Verdantas is a national consulting group seeking a talented Staff I - Mechanical Engineer to join our Flow Labs Team in the Holden, MA office. This position supports our Calibration group with significant opportunity to work on a variety of flow labs projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop calibration methods and techniques based on principles of measurement science, technical analysis of measurement problems, and accuracy and precision requirements primarily for fluid flowmeters
  • Continuously improve our engineering/calibration processes to comply with ISO, NIST, ANSI, and ASME standards
  • Continuously improve our facility and work towards automating the calibration process.
  • Participate in the annual internal audit process.
  • Must be able to write effectively and articulate outcomes to clients and team members.
  • Support the calibration team by: overseeing flow meter calibrations and the data collection process, overseeing internal test equipment calibrations, and communications with clients. 
  • Support and follow the procedures listed in our Quality Assurance System.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or technical focus
  • 0-3 years of solid engineering and calibration experience
  • Experience in an ISO accredited lab is strongly preferred
  • Experience in a quality management system is preferred
  • Project management skills
  • Basic knowledge of AC
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
