Verdantas is a national consulting group seeking a talented Staff I - Mechanical Engineer to join our Flow Labs Team in the Holden, MA office. This position supports our Calibration group with significant opportunity to work on a variety of flow labs projects.
Responsibilities:
- Develop calibration methods and techniques based on principles of measurement science, technical analysis of measurement problems, and accuracy and precision requirements primarily for fluid flowmeters
- Continuously improve our engineering/calibration processes to comply with ISO, NIST, ANSI, and ASME standards
- Continuously improve our facility and work towards automating the calibration process.
- Participate in the annual internal audit process.
- Must be able to write effectively and articulate outcomes to clients and team members.
- Support the calibration team by: overseeing flow meter calibrations and the data collection process, overseeing internal test equipment calibrations, and communications with clients.
- Support and follow the procedures listed in our Quality Assurance System.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or technical focus
- 0-3 years of solid engineering and calibration experience
- Experience in an ISO accredited lab is strongly preferred
- Experience in a quality management system is preferred
- Project management skills
- Basic knowledge of AC
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
