Job Description

Pay Rate - $24.63

The Automatic Palletizer Operator attends palletizers supplying pallets, tier sheets, operates controls and ensures that tiers are properly formed and transported. Additionally, will serve as a backup heavy equipment operator when needed. 

The Palletizer Operator will:

• Ensure the palletizer machines continue to operate and function normally.
• Unjams palletizer and lines by removing affected material, and then restarting palletizer.
• Observes cartons and/or bottles for obvious defects and removes defected items.
• Using hand truck, pull pallets, frames tier sheets in working area, returns empty pallets to loading area.

When performing backup heavy equipment operator duties:

• Unload and inspect bulk batch materials from carriers into batch house; weighs out small volume batch materials, color mixing of minor ingredients; collects, transports, crushes cullet and performs basement trucking.

The Palletizer Operator should have:

• Previous experience in the industrial manufacturing environment
• Previous experience operating heavy equipment such as payloader, fork truck etc. 
• Ability to make simple operating adjustments
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. on a regular basis
• Ability to work rotating schedule, with weekend and holiday requirements 

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old
• High School Diploma or GED
