  • This position pays between $17.95 - $21.35/hr based on experience

Assist department leadership with the day-to-day operations process by primarily serving as a subject matter expert capable of handling any escalated inquiries and written correspondence. Collaborate with leadership and first line associates to ensure all key performance indicators are met while delivering superior level results. Assist with team development and training opportunities.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Researches and responds to account inquiries in a timely manner.  
  • Responds to urgent and escalated issues received from department leaders, legal team, facility management, patients, vendors, etc.
  • Knowledge of all aspects of the revenue cycle and processes to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Must demonstrate critical thinking, problem solving and knowledge of all the Revenue Cycle areas and processes to be effective in the position.
  • Review correspondence queues, taking appropriate action and documenting accounts accordingly.
  • Provide occasional coordination to ensure the team follows correct processes/procedures.
  • Offer suggestions on potential improvements to customer workflow processes.
  • Contribute to a dynamic work environment by acting as a subject matter expert and providing team assistance as needed.

Responsible for patient related activities that include:

  • Printing and mailing medical records, itemized bills, and other required documents.
  • Pulling documentation and distributing documentation to other individuals or departments.
  • Printing daily hardcopy payers UB's, 1500’s, Medical Records & EOB's and process them to be mailed.
  • Providing daily volume, backlog and workflow information.
  • Reviewing patient accounts, work queues, work lists, patient portals, responding to emails from patients, payors, attorneys, etc.
  • Review patient accounts for errors and fixing the errors or communicating with other departments that are responsible for correcting them.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 2 Years/associate’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Microsoft Office experience
  • Revenue Cycle knowledge
  • Critical thinking
