KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: This role oversees the dynamic interdisciplinary team and works closely with leadership to ensure compliance and excellent patient care. Key responsibilities include budgetary management, leading the team's activities, providing clinical direction, and ensuring compliant growth and profitability. Drives teamwork, leads by example, and has a focus on quality care.
Oversees office and clinical services
Ensures timely billing
Processes assigned HCHB workflow
Assists with case conference
Reviews and approves F2F encounters
Processes client occurrences and infection control reports
Educates field staff for quality documentation
Reviews branch KPIs and operational reports and takes appropriate action
Other branch-related duties as assigned

Observes confidentiality and safeguards all patient-related information.
Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility.
Works with RDO to identify budgetary requirements and determine the appropriate use of allocations.
Monitors equipment use and takes steps to minimize misuse.
It is normally available at all times during and after operating hours, and may designate a qualified temporary replacement if he/she is unavailable.
Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local rules, accreditation standards, and Hospice policies in all patient care aspects of the Hospice.
Addresses and corrects all patient concerns.
QualificationsPROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
Industry experience
Ability to work independently, make accurate, and at times, quick judgments. Ability to supervise others appropriately. Ability to respond appropriately to crisis outside of a hospital setting. Acceptance of and adaptability to different social, racial, cultural and religious modes.
Minimum of 5 years of supervisory administrative experience in hospice.
Expertise and hospice and/or Home Health (As applicable) background for multiple sites preferred.
Knowledge of guidelines governing agencies.
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, preferred.
Active patient contact within past three years, preferred.
Optimizes the capital structure and support strategic initiatives.
Ensures compliance with agency policies and procedures regarding operations/processes, including but not limited to those regarding patient care, patient complaints, incidents, safety and emergency management.
Ensures compliance with policies and procedures regarding infection prevention, control, standard precautions, and infection identification reporting.
Always maintains patient confidentiality, including all HIPAA regulations.
Strategic and Operational Insight
Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.
Interprets operational indicators to detect census changes and increases or decreases in volume that could impact staffing levels, revenues or expenses.
Assists in The Care Teams development of goals. Develops, recommends and administers policies and procedures.
Stays informed about changes in the field of nursing and hospice care; shares information with appropriate organization personnel.
Director Expertise
Maintains current knowledge and ensures compliance with all applicable standards, rules and regulations.
Provides effective staff management that includes opportunities for development, training and feedback to promote high morale and ensure clinician needs are met.
Provides guidance and counseling to Clinical Teal Leads to assist them in continually improving all aspects of Agency, provided through The Care Team personnel.
Manages clinical teams and planning as well as developing skills and techniques in evaluating the performance of clinicians.
Provides help in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient and family/caregiver care to all clinical personnel as indicated.
