Position Details
- Role: Experienced Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician
- Status: Full-time
- Salary: $20 – $24 per hour
- Schedule: 4 x 10-hour shifts. Rotating Saturdays.
- Requirements: Two years of experience

What You’ll Do
- Assist with preventative care, vaccines, and patient wellness visits
- Apply Fear Free practices to help create a positive patient experience
- Dispense and administer medications as directed
- Obtain complete patient histories and maintain accurate treatment records
- Perform pharmacology calculations
- Support surgical procedures, including prep, monitoring, and recovery
- Assist with dentistry and radiography
- Perform venipuncture and IV catheter placement
- Educate clients and communicate recommendations clearly and professionally
- Contribute to all areas of patient care as a skilled veterinary team member
What You’ll Bring
- At least two years of veterinary experience
- Experience as a Veterinary Assistant, Veterinary Technician, or Registered Veterinary Technician
- Strong technical skills and a commitment to high-quality patient care
- Knowledge of preventative care, vaccines, Fear Free practices, and common hospital workflows
- The ability to build rapport with clients, fellow team members, and leadership
- Clear client education and communication skills
- A team-focused mindset grounded in mutual respect
- A positive, supportive approach, even in challenging situations
