Accounting Manager

Description

The accounting manager position offers the opportunity to be part of a fantastic team and the growth of several enterprises. Our companies include pavement technology and preservation, manufacturing, roadway data collection and real estate holdings.

Duties include:

• Establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation.
• Responsible for monthly closing entries, accruals, expense amortization, and fixed asset depreciation.
• Log intercompany transactions and elimination, sales tax, inventory and depletion.    
• Works with CFO in preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.
• Works with CFO in the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.
• Presents recommendations to CFO on short- and long-term financial objectives and policies.
• Provides financial analysis with an emphasis on capital investments and pricing decisions.
• Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
• Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned by CFO.  

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required
• Experience with Net Suite
• Fluency in MS Excel, VBA
• Some fluency in SQL or information tech is helpful
